September always feels like a beginning. A change in the light, schools go back, the slight morning chill, and there is a sense of rhythm returning after the looseness of summer. For singers, this is the ideal moment to start planning and shaping the year ahead.
Let me invite you to join me for Sing Joyfully 2025: Mozart at the Helm. This takes place on 15–16 November in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, UK. But beware, applications for singers close on Friday, 19 September, in just two weeks, so the time to decide is now.
The reason the application date comes so close to the start of the Autumn term is simple. With Mozart, you need time, not just to touch the notes, but to properly get inside them. Amongst other things, we will be working on staged excerpts, and that means singers must have long enough to feel they are in the middle of the music rather than only just getting their act together. We’re heading back to Winsham in Somerset this September — not simply because it’s a beautiful village with the marvellous acoustics of The Jubilee Hall, but because, quite frankly, they asked. After Love Your Voice in March, several locals and friends of The Voice School quietly inquired, “When will you be back?” It’s always a lovely sign when the question arrives before the invitation is extended.
So here we are, returning on the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th September, offering two distinct and artistically valuable experiences for classical singers who are ready to return to their voice with intention. These two days are independent of one another — you may attend either or both — but together they form a meaningful beginning to the new academic year ahead.

Sing Joyfully '25 - with Mozart at the helm!
On 15–16 November in Chandler’s Ford, UK, we gather for a weekend devoted to Mozart’s music — full of wit, precision, and heart. Across two days, we will work with solos, ensembles, and stagecraft in Italian, German, and Latin, shaping the sessions to the voices in the room. Come and sing, or come and observe, and be part of a small, connected group where the work has room to breathe.
