The process of learning to sing is never quite the same for any two people, but there are patterns that can help guide us. What feels like a tangle of issues—range, breathing, tension, confidence—can often be eased with small, practical steps and the right kind of encouragement.

At The Voice School, we work gradually, so that the building blocks of your technique support each other over time. You’ll grow in musical confidence and performance awareness as your voice becomes more responsive, expressive, and sustainable.

I’m passionate about creating a more authentic online learning experience—where singers can connect, exchange ideas, and feel supported by one another. It can be unsettling to explore your voice in new ways, but the joy of discovering it is worth every step. Here, you’ll find clear explanations, no myths, and plenty of opportunities to study and make music with others.

Working with me: I can help you along your vocal journey, teach you about technique, look at repertoire, enhance your vocal performance and guide you towards more singing experiences. I am a full member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.

A choice of working sessions is available:

• Making a Start
  A gentle way to begin or resume your vocal journey. We'll focus on foundational technique and explore repertoire that feels manageable and motivating.

• Comprehensive Voice Lesson
  A full-length session tailored to you—technique, interpretation, performance, and future direction. Best for those seeking regular support.

• Vocal Care / Voice Repair
  Choose this option if you’re experiencing vocal strain or loss of function. We'll look for the underlying cause and work toward recovery.

• Consultation / Voice Appraisal
  A short, focused session is ideal for beginners or those needing feedback. You'll send a recording ahead of time, and we’ll explore possibilities together.

A note about fees
My session fees have remained unchanged since October 2023, but as The Voice School continues to grow, with new resources, clearer guidance, and deeper support, I’ll be making a small adjustment from 1st May 2025. This helps me maintain the quality of what I offer while continuing to invest in meaningful learning experiences for singers. 

Session Types and their fees (payable in advance).

• Consultation/analysis: £53 (30-minute initial vocal analysis or appraisal of recordings received/sent)

• 45-minute session: £65

• 60-minute session: £78
