We’ll also have our Your Process session — the big reveal for this study weekend, where I’ll share what’s come through from your most recent audio recordings, using the AI transcripts to pull out what’s going on in your vocal work. It’s always fascinating. illuminating, sometimes surprising, and definitely worth discussing.
Then, to round off the day, we’ll open the floor to those happenstance songs that have appeared along the way, perhaps unexpectedly, but feel like they deserve inclusion. They don’t need to be polished or perfected — it’s more about sharing your sense of inspiration, letting it fly!
Sunday – Forward Motion
Sunday is where we begin to think forward — properly forward. What ideas are you taking with you from this academic year’s work, and where is it leading? This is the moment to get honest about what repertoire is still calling for your attention and what needs to be underway now, especially if you want it to be ready for mid-September. Songs don’t prepare themselves — and we know how easily August slips by.
We’ll continue to draw from your process work, thinking about what it’s taught you and what it’s opening up.
The afternoon will be given to your presentations — a chance to walk us through up to five songs that feel meaningful now, that shape where you're going vocally.
This is not a conclusion — it's a launch point.
And importantly, we’ll look ahead to the Winsham weekend: two days of workshops, with the second day taking place in The Jubilee Hall, in front of an audience. It’s a very different kind of energy, and it needs preparation. So if you’re coming, sign up — we must get to work. All important details are already pinned to the Portal Noticeboard.
