Joy and Inspiration for solo singers.

application deadline: 1 February 2025

Meraki is a Greek word, derived from the Turkish “merak” (meaning labour of love, to do something with pleasure), but literally means the “essence of yourself.”

Meraki means to do something with passion, absolute devotion, with undivided attention.

Let's see where our exploration takes us.

"When you do things from your soul,

you feel a river moving in you, a joy.” ― Rumi

I've shared video recordings of interviews with Dame Janet Baker over recent years, and love the one where she is in conversation with Simon Callow and obviously very much at ease. Their discussion is rich and deep.

This short clip has a most powerful meaning.

"Into the music I go, to lose my mind

and find my soul."

Application deadline: now closed until next time!

See you inside ...

Once you've signed up/opted in for the workshop day, I'll be in touch with you personally, to gather your thoughts and give you the logistical details. It will be a day of our own design; where we collaborate to create a day that serves us as singers in a positive, supportive way. We're creating something wonderful.

"It's essential to work on something you're deeply interested in. Interest will drive you to work harder than mere diligence ever could. The three most powerful motives are curiosity, delight, and the desire to do something impressive. Sometimes they converge, and that combination is the most powerful of all."
