The Voice School Workshops 2025

Working with an Accompanist

forms one part of this year's Love Your Voice event

Sunday 23rd March

11am - 5pm GMT

An event in creation.

Joy and Inspiration for solo singers.

Application deadline: 1 February 2025

It takes two ... it's a partnership

This special workshop will take place at The Old Rectory, Chaffcombe, as Day Two of The Voice School's  Love Your Voice 2025 event.

Day Two is about working and singing with an accompanist (Geraldine Wills) and performing in her music studio, in front of an invited audience at The Old Rectory in Chaffcombe, Somerset, just a few miles from our much-loved village of Winsham. I will also be singing that day.

A maximum of 6 singers will have the opportunity to take a break from working with backing tracks/MP3 accompaniment and instead enjoy interaction and creative exchange with a real LIVE accompanist sitting at the piano in a beautiful music studio!

There will be a working session during the morning from 10am-1pm and then after lunch,  participation during a lecture-style recital given by Geraldine and myself in front of an invited audience.

A wonderful opportunity. And, a great experience.

See you inside ...

Once you've signed up/opted in for the workshop day, I'll be in touch with you personally, to gather your thoughts and give you the logistical details. It will be a day where we collaborate to create a day that serves us as singers in a positive, supportive way.

"It's essential to work on something you're deeply interested in. Interest will drive you to work harder than mere diligence ever could. The three most powerful motives are curiosity, delight, and the desire to do something impressive. Sometimes they converge, and that combination is the most powerful of all."
